Baby Thor recently turned two (let the tantrums and bad behaviour begin) and we celebrated the milestone with giant balloons, friends and cake… lot’s of cake. Birthdays are a time to indulge, but I was conscious that I didn’t want a table full of sugar and I didn’t want to restrict the fun either. No cake would have been like Christmas without Santa. I can’t be that mum. What I can be, however, is crafty! Here’s a list of party food ideas I scoured the Internet for pre-party. None need recipes as they are pretty self explanatory, but also pure genius. Don’t worry, as with everything on City Mum, these are for the time-poor; quick, easy and stress-free is my mantra.

Chocolate dipped strawberries

Star-shaped (or any shaped) sandwiches

Watermelon popsicles

Fruit kebabs

Banana pops

Fruit Cones

Happy party planning!
